The Wesley Foundation is grateful to Ray Martin of Crescent Hill Partners, an investment advisory firm in Saratoga Springs, for his generosity in making a leadership gift of $101,439 toward the Campaign for Springs. Ray is enthusiastic about the mission of The Wesley Community, so much so, that he volunteered to co-chair the Campaign for Springs in addition to his other volunteer roles at Wesley.

Ray is a current board member of The Wesley Community and former board president of The Wesley Foundation, on which he served a nine-year term. Ray is also a member of The Wesley Society and Oak Tree Society, recognizing his influence as a volunteer leader for The Wesley Community for more than two decades and his philanthropic support. His willingness to serve is related to his appreciation of the mission of Wesley, as Martin says, “The people who come to work at Wesley every day live their mission, providing compassionate care making the lives of the residents as rich and rewarding as possible. Wesley is an important part of the greater Saratoga community.”

Martin’s leadership helped to guide the organization through the planning and execution stages of its first major capital campaign since the 1970s—the Campaign for Springs—as a board member and as co-chair of its steering committee. The project, which will provide modern upgrades to Wesley Health Care Center’s oldest nursing home building, is an important one to Martin.

“With the Springs building renovation, we are pursuing a vision that focuses on people, their lives, and their needs. The second phase of renovations will provide an even higher quality of service and improved amenities, better meeting the clinical and social needs of older adults who need help. This project is an investment in the Saratoga community-at-large, many of whom will need long term care services for themselves or a loved one at some point in their lives,” explains Martin.

With Ray Martin’s generosity, along with that of other donors, the Campaign for Springs has raised $4.3 million dollars to date toward its $5 million dollar goal. The estimated $30 million dollar project will renovate floors 2, 3 and 4 of the Springs building at Wesley Health Care Center, as well as the Resident Activities Room on the ground floor, completing a transformation to a modern, welcoming home for the aging.

The Wesley Foundation thanks you Ray, for your generous donation to the Campaign for Springs.
