Where do you provide your home care services?

Currently, we offer our home care services to Saratoga, Schenectady and Warren Counties.

Are home care services covered by insurance or Medicare?

We do not accept insurance at this time. Our non medical home care services are private pay. If you have long term care insurance, we can submit the necessary paperwork for your reimbursement, but you are responsible for the payment of all billed services. Invoices are sent weekly after the completion of services.

What kind of screening process do your caregivers go through?

The Wesley Community conducts criminal background checks on all prospective employees, including all unlicensed individuals that will provide direct care, supervision and/or that have access to a client, their living quarters or their property. Rest assured that each of our caregivers exhibit personality traits like friendliness, dependability, sensitivity, and compassion for your loved one’s emotional wellbeing.

Are your caregivers insured and bonded?

Yes, each of our caregivers are insured and bonded to help ensure the safety and well being of your elderly family member.

Are services available 24 hours, 7 days a week?

Yes, our caregivers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for temporary or long-term situations.

What is the minimum amount of hours per visit you offer?

Our minimum visit is two hours. If your visit takes less than two hours, you will still be charged the two-hour rate.

Do you provide services to those in nursing homes or assisted living communities?

Yes, we are able to provide companions for senior residents in nursing homes or assisted living communities who may desire additional personalized attention.

Will my family member always receive care from the same caregiver?

Our goal is to establish personalized senior home care with strong caregiving relationships between patients and caregivers grounded on rapport and trust. For this reason, we strive to have no more than one or two caregivers for your family member. Please understand that if your loved one requires care for longer periods of time or at different times of days throughout the week, they may have more than one caregiver in a given week. If your loved one should request to be matched with a new caregiver, we will do so.

Can your home care assist with medication?

Yes, our caregivers assist with medication reminders. A Registered Nurse oversees all services and can perform medication pours at an additional cost.

What can a companion help my loved one with?

Our senior solutions companions assist with errands, appointments and light housekeeping. They can also assist with simple meal preparation.

What services can an aide provide? Who oversees them?

A Registered Nurse oversees all care provided by your aide that is in your individualized plan of care. Our aides can assist with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing and grooming. They can also assist with ambulation, transfers, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands and medication reminders.

Can we arrange for occasional transportation to/from doctors’ appointments?

Yes, our caregivers can provide transportation and escort services for your loved one to and from doctors’ appointments, errands and recreational activities. Please be mindful that our minimum shift remains at two hours.

Do I pay the caregiver directly?

No, payment is made to Wesley Senior Solutions. You will be invoiced weekly.

What are the costs of your home care services?
