Every May, the Administration on Aging leads our nation’s observance of Older American’s Month. The 2018 theme, Engage at Every Age, emphasizes that you are never too old (or young) to take part in activities that can enrich your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It also celebrates the many ways in which older adults make a difference in our communities.
To celebrate Older Americans Month, the Wesley Art Gallery is featuring photos and interviews of Health Care Center residents age 90 years and older and Wesley employees age 70 years and older. The profiles were gathered through staff interviews with residents and their family members. Photos of each resident were then taken and paired with their profile for display. Each person’s story is unique and their inspiring profiles will be up for viewing throughout the month of May.
