The Wesley Foundation to host “A Conversation about Long-Term Care”
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y., October 30, 2018 – The Wesley Foundation will host a program entitled “A Conversation About Long-Term Care” at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs, NY on Tuesday, November 13 at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
The seminar will discuss the basics of long-term care planning, how families and advisors should approach planning for the care of aging adults, and the legal and financial strategies families should consider, including the use of insurance, trusts and other important planning documents.
Long-term care planning experts Tara Anne Pleat, Esq. of Wilcenski & Pleat, PLLC, and Brian Johnson, MBA, CLTC of Advisor Insurance Brokers will lead the evening’s discussion.

Pleat practices in the areas of special needs estate planning and administration, traditional estate planning and administration, long-term care planning, and elder law at Wilcenski & Pleat, PLLC, which has offices in Clifton Park and Queensbury.
She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Eastern New York, Inc. and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Pleat currently serves as the chair-elect of the Elder Law and Special Needs Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Albany Law School, where she teaches a course on estate and financial planning for the elderly and individuals with special needs.
Johnson is the Director of Business Development at Advisors Insurance Brokers in Clifton Park, NY. He specializes in long-term care, life and disability insurance, as well as fixed annuities for individuals, employer groups and state and national associations.
Johnson has over 12 years of financial services experience, spending the last eight years in asset protection and wealth transfer planning. In addition to his professional practice, Johnson is regularly called on to conduct training for financial professionals nationwide.
