Join the fun! From June 24th through June 30th, take on one of our challenges or set your own mileage goal to walk, run or bike. Whether you head to a local trail, take a run around the neighborhood, or walk on your treadmill – every mile counts! Share your progress with the #shareastep to motivate others, and to show the impact we have when share a step together!
What is Share a Step?
Share a Step is our virtual fitness event that invites individuals of all ages to set a mileage goal for the week of June 24th through June 30th. You can get your mileage in with a walk outside, a bike ride around the neighborhood or a run on the treadmill, just make sure you log it! Take pictures of each exercise and tag us on Facebook or Instagram with #shareastep to show your progress and challenge others to stay accountable.
Virtually Travel the distance of one of four popular local trails or you can set your own distance goals if you do not want to try for one of these tiers – it’s up to you! All we ask is that you have fun and be safe by following all State, County Health and social distancing guidelines related to the COVID-19 virus.
Whatever your goal is, take a step each day towards achieving it and help raise funds for this important cause at the same time!
What are the funds being raised for?
Funds raised through this event will help complete the second phase of renovations in the Springs building of Wesley Health Care Center. The first phase of renovations on the 5th Floor of the Springs Building was completed in 2016. We are now raising funds for Phase 2, to complete the renovations to floors 2, 3, and 4. Which challenge will you take?
For those who love to ride, we have a challenge for you! Hook your helmet and join in this 155-mile challenge. If you love to walk or run, you are welcome to complete this challenge too! This challenge totals 22.1 miles per day.
50K Gold Challenge:
We invite you to take on our 50K challenge! Celebrate our golden anniversary by joining in on this 32-mile challenge. Don’t stop at silver, go for the gold! This challenge totals 4.6 miles per day.
Wesley’s 5 Mile Challenge:
Stay golden with our 5 mile day challenge! This challenge is perfect for anyone who who likes to walk, run, or ride. Join us as we celebrate our golden 50th year! This challenge totals 0.7 mile per day.
