Wesley Health Care Resident Woman of Many Talents

Elderly women holding photograph

Writing, painting, making jewelry and designing inspirational cards are some of the many talents that Wesley Health Care Center resident Dorothy Dodd possesses. Dorothy is shown above with one of her paintings and a book of her short stories. All of her stories were hand written. Her daughter, Donna Thomas from Greenwich, contacted her son, David in Virginia who typed and compiled them into book form for Dorothy this past Christmas.

Dorothy’s short stories are filled with family, pets and critter memories depicting the past as she grew up during the depression years and later. She exhibited her acrylic and oil paintings, cards and jewelry art at The Wesley Gallery when she was 87 years young in 2010. To read one of Dorothy’s stories, click here.
