The Wesley Foundation to celebrate “Gatsby Style” at annual gala

Proceeds from fundraising event to benefit The Wesley Community

The Adirondack Trust Company makes $10,500 donation to support The Wesley Community’s fundraising events in 2015

Saratoga Springs, N.Y., May 19, 2015 – The Wesley Foundation, the philanthropic arm of The Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, will host its annual gala at the Saratoga Golf and Polo Club on Saturday, May 30 from 6 to 10 p.m.

The theme of this year’s event is “A Black & White Affair – Gatsby Style,” which will invite attendees to enjoy a classic evening reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties.

Proceeds from the evening will support the renovation of the Springs residence at The Wesley Health Care Center. The residence caters to aging seniors who may have significant, chronic medical needs requiring daily assistance. Renovations will create a more home-like atmosphere for the residents.

“This event will be a fantastic evening to support a worthwhile cause,” said Tim Busch, Gala Committee Co-Chair. “Proceeds from the event will have a direct impact on the quality of life of Wesley’s residents.”

“We are excited for our upcoming event and the impact it will have on the lives of our residents,” said J. Brian Nealon, CEO of The Wesley Community. “By renovating our Springs residence, we can better meet the needs of residents who require daily care and support.”

“We are very pleased to support the Wesley Community with this donation said Charles V. Wait, Jr., Executive Vice President of The Adirondack Trust Company. “Brian Nealon and his staff serve as an outstanding example of an organization that is committed to helping the residents of our community. Our donation will help them with their events which in turn will provide increased revenue for the renovation of the Springs residence.”

Guests will enjoy delicious food from Chef John Ireland, a sundae bar featuring ice cream from Ben and Jerry’s of Saratoga, and a cash bar. The event will also feature music by Funk Evolution, classic cars from the Saratoga Automobile museum, décor from Fine Affairs, and photos with vintage backdrops by TapSnap, in addition to other activities. Attendees are encouraged to wear black and white cocktail attire with their favorite splash of color, with 1920’s-themed attire also welcome. Two additional fundraisers will take place at the event – a heads or tails game and a gift bag bonanza.

The Presenting sponsor is The Adirondack Trust Company, which recently presented a $10,500 check to The Wesley Foundation to support its 2015 special events, which are dedicated to renovations at the Springs residence. Additional major sponsors for the gala are Angerame Architects, P.C., AOW Associates, Inc., Marshall & Sterling Insurance, The Fort Miller Group, Inc., Saratoga Casino and Raceway, The Saratogian, Fine Affairs, and Ray Martin/Crescent Hill Partners, L.L.C.
