Woodlawn Commons’ renovation project is complete. The fresher look of Woodlawn’s already comfortable ambiance makes our shared areas even more inviting. A decorating scheme with new paint colors, carpeting, furnishings, window treatments and lighting fixtures gives the common spaces a modern feel. The residents love the look of their new surroundings!
The undertaking revitalized all of the communal areas on the first and second floors of the Barrett Community Center, the heart of the active Woodlawn Commons social life.
Our living room/library, with its new furnishings and décor, provides residents with a comfortable place to relax and mingle. The French doors highlight a lovely view of our Courtyard with its flowers, fountain and seating areas, and the newly tiled fireplace provides a cozy setting in cool weather. The Great Room has also been redecorated to provide a comfortable, centralized area for time spent with family and friends.
The Arts and Crafts Room is a cheery place to join with friends to play cards or games, paint or craft, or take a computer lesson. Residents like to get together in the Country Store for a cup of coffee with friends or during family visits. Exercise classes, yoga and massage take place in the updated Wellness Room, and the refurbished Beauty Salon offers a serene place to relax and be pampered. Finding out about activities at the new postings area near the welcoming reception desk, and picking up mail in the new boxes is even more convenient for residents.
Aside from its new décor, Georgia’s Restaurant, which offers great breakfasts, lunches and dinners, has a new and efficient wait staff station that helps staff provide the best possible service at mealtimes. Attractive changes to our private dining space, the Fox dining room, mean an exceptional experience when a more intimate setting is requested for special events or family gatherings.
