What makes Assisted Living at Woodlawn Commons more attractive than other similar offerings?
Experience and reputation are important. The Wesley Community has offered a continuum of care noted for excellence for almost 45 years. Many Assisted Living residences offer only a room with bath. At Woodlawn Commons, the residents in Assisted Living Program enjoy a personal sitting room and kitchenette, as well as a bedroom and private bathroom.
Are there different levels of care for Assisted living?
At Woodlawn Commons, levels of care in our Assisted Living Program are based on an individual’s personal care needs and are priced accordingly.
Is Assisted Living at Woodlawn Commons licensed?
Yes. We are licensed by the New York State Department of Health and held accountable to their standards and regulations.
Is Medicare or Medicaid an option for payment at Woodlawn Commons?
No. The cost of the Assisted Living Program is covered by private funds or long-term care insurance (as personal policies allow). If eligible, a Veteran’s benefit may also be available.
Will I be guaranteed admission into Wesley Health Care Center’s long-term care community if my care needs increase?
Residents in Assisted Living at Woodlawn Commons are given preferred consideration for other levels of care on campus if they qualify, but not guaranteed admission. A separate application will be required.
May I have a pet in my apartment?
We are not able to accommodate live-in pets in the Assisted Living Program. However, pets may come for a visit with guests.
Is there a waiting list?
At times there may be a waiting list, but please contact us as availability varies and we may be able to accommodate your needs.
